Buyers picking up the pace

28 Jan 2010

February to June is my favourite time of year in real estate. The weather is great, homes present at their best and people come back from their break having had the opportunity to sit down and make definite plans. The latter certainly seems to ring true for the buyers who were out in large numbers last weekend looking at fresh listings.

They are picking up the pace too!

To give you an example: Jason Trowbridge launched his‘Quintessential Ponsonby’ property in Lincoln Street last Thursday. You saw it first in last week's newsletter, it then went ‘live’ in diverse media starting that Friday. Jason saw over 40 groups visit the property on the weekend and sold it unconditionally by Monday (3 days on the market!) for our extremely happy vendor.

Another example straight from the local coal face: Jeanne Clayton and Steve King's Newton Apartment had been getting steady interest since launch, culminating into five offers being made yesterday, two of them unconditional, and the property was sold the same night well over C.V. with a most impressed vendor to boot!

Further sales:Jason also sold another Ponsonby gem in Summer Street, Dan Reed  sold 11 Powell Street in Avondale, and Rose Kirkwood is unstoppable with another two sales under her belt in the Shoalhaven complex.

New offerings this week – Jason Trowbridge is marketing a gem of an apartment in Beresford Street, Freeman’s Bay and Sue Doherty has an extremely tidy offering in Cleveland Road, Parnell.

Enjoy browsing our properties and don’t hesitate to contact us if we can assist in any way.
It’s no trouble, it’s our job.

Have a great long weekend
