We have recently sold our house through Keith and Sandy Dowdle. Right from the first meeting through to conclusion of the sale, we found both Keith and Sandy to be extremely professional, practical, empathetic, and friendly. They were very practical and economical in their recommendations regarding the level of marketing required. They are not Agents that do the “hard sell” or the “real estate speak”, they just offer you realistic practical advice and let you make your own mind as to how you want to proceed. They know the market extremely well, and after one weekend of open homes found a buyer for our house at a record price.  They also found the perfect house for us to buy, and again gave us good practical advice and recommendations in negotiating the purchase.

I was lucky enough to have Sandy and Keith recommended to me by a friend who had both bought and sold through them. As she has very high standards I felt confident asking them to sell my property. I have never had such an easy stress less experience in 25 years of buying and selling real estate. I live overseas. I had tenants in the property and it was managed by a management company. Keith and Sandy did all the liaising with both tenant and the managers, arranged for minor building works to be completed, and kept the tenants happy and comfortable through 4 weeks of open homes. The feedback I received each week was formally done and I knew exactly how the marketing was going every day through text and email messages. The auction process was new to me and they both kept me anxiety free throughout the process and achieved my reserve price. The relationships they built with potential buyers – and also the person who ultimately bought the house – were high quality and they seemed very respectful of each person’s situation and did not push potential buyers who were not showing interest. It is with genuine appreciation that I write to thank Keith and Sandy Dowdle for their superb efforts in the recent campaign for the sale of my home in Westmere. This is the second home I have sold with Keith and Sandy – but the listing came with a twist. Whilst I had considered approaching them at their previous agency, I have watched with much interest, as a business owner myself, Custom Residential’s entry, progress and maturation as the ‘new agency’ within the local market – and felt very strongly that it was Custom whom I wished to approach about listing. Imagine my delight when I received a call from Keith following up on run email sent to Custom, explaining their recent shift to the agency – enquiring if I like to grab a coffee to discuss my home? It was almost as if it was meant to be. Keith and Sandy’s approachable and empathetic manner, strong awareness of the importance of a strong, effective and relevant marketing campaign, coupled with their expert negotiation and sales skills, strong local experience and intimate knowledge of the area make them a joy to deal with.
