Rex has been passionately ‘in Real Estate' for over 25 years and has been involved in most aspects including Residential Sales, Commercial, Property Development, Property and Building management, Rentals and Leasing, Property Investment Apartment sales, and training and mentoring sales staff. 
In addition, Rex has trained new sales people for several years at Unitec's certificate course to the industry. Rex has also owned and managed a number of successful real estate operations. He has served on the REINZ Auckland District, chairing an investigation sub-committee for several years.

Rex learnt about ‘sales' as a police officer, a position he held for sixteen years. During twelve of those he was involved in Drug Squad duties.  He attained the rank of Detective Sergeant, but tongue in cheek he explains that many of his clients were simply not interested in purchasing Her Majesty's ‘Time Shares'. However, more often than not, he was successful in closing the sale.

Rex's interests include, aviation, reading autobiographies, fishing, gardening and preparing salubrious meals. He has been married just once and still boasts that the best thing that ever happened to him is his gorgeous wife Merrilyn. She also happens to be involved in Real Estate.

Recently, during the turbulent markets, he has turned down a number of offered opportunities, but when Johnny Wills explained the concept of Custom Residential, he knew he just had to be involved.  The simple idea of returning to the old values of the customer being right, deserving and getting the best possible service, of agent accountability and all this whilst the market is at it's most challenging state in years, was just what Rex was looking for. Bring it on!
